Does anyone know of an OS X program similar to "Smartdraw" for the PC?
My objective is to personalize a map of France wherein I can insert
names of special locations and delete extraneous information. Final map
will be inserted into a Word document.
This old geezer will appreciate any help. Thanks,
Dale

Sounds like you have quite a task. Look at http://earth.google.com/
Play with the various layers. I think it could get cluttered real
quick but still worth a look.

Bonjour Dale!
Hey, wait...that doesn't sound like a French name! :-) There are two
F/OSS graphic editing programs that will run in OS X you can try: The
GIMP from gimp.org and Inkscape from inkscape.org. The former is similar
to image editing/raster graphics programs such as Corel Paint, wile the
latter is a vector graphics application such as Corel Draw.
Both free and both very nice.
