I connect my new iPod Touch, and iTunes shows me the "iPod Touch January
Software Upgrade" page. At the bottom are 3 buttons: No Thanks, Remind Me
Later, and Go To Software Upgrade.
If I click No Thanks or Remind Me Later, I'm then shown a page all about the
Software Upgrade. At the bottom is a button: OK. I click this button and I'm
taken to the iTunes Store: "Upgrade for $19.99".
If I click on the iPod icon under Devices in the left column of iTunes (and
there is no triangle next to the iPod icon), I again see the "iPod Touch
January Software Upgrade" page. And 'round and 'round we go.
At no time are the familiar tabs available on the iPod pane (Sync, Music,
Movies, Photos, etc.).
I've successfully updated the software on this iPod and synch'd it several
times prior to the current issue.
Reinstalled iTunes 7.6. No joy.
Nothing else on the Mac is amiss.
How do I sync my iPod? I'd like to think this is just a bug and not a
marketing gimmick, or a required purchase...
iPod Touch 8 GB, software v1.1.3
Mac Intel Mini 1.83 GHz / 80 GB / 1 GB
OS X 10.5.2
iTunes 7.6
Thanks,

Didn't you already post this same exact message? Or is it Deja Vu?
