When on Windoze I used the Broadband Speed Tester available
for it, but it isn't available for Mac OS X (I have Leopard).
Is there an add on or open source program that will determine
upload and download speeds in real time?
Thanks, John

Perfect! Thank you! It looks like the same basic program but
for the Mac. They changed "Broadband" to "Bandwith" and
thus I didn't see it right away.

Try MenuMeters. Not sure if it is what you really want, but a lot
of people find MenuMeters useful.
