Why do I always find my Security panel in System Preferences unlocked
when I have a look at it after some time and know I have left it
locked?
Something that triggers an unlock without my knowing it? A big in
Leopard on Intel Duo2Core iMacs?
Merry Christmas, all ye' all.

You probably have ONE keychain (login), which never locks. Try changing
the settings so it locks after one minute. I would recommend using the
login keychain only for logging in. For all other puposes use different
keychains, eg. a web keychain for sites where you need to log in for
shopping for instance, which locks after 5 minutes. And/or a mail
keychain, which is only used for you mail app and never locks. And a
different one which you make the STANDARD keychain. In the latter you
can keep various notes, passwords and what have you.
Oh, and have the keychain show info in the menu.

Thanks. I'll have a look at it.
I'd forgotten about the keychain.
I wish that Missing Manual would arrive soon.
