My employer provides me with a Microsoft Exchange email account.
While at work I can configure Mail.app on any Mac to work with it. From
home, I can access the mail account only through a web browser, which
connects to my employer's Microsoft Outlook Web Accees site.
Attempts to set up Mail.app to access my mail account from home fail; My
sys admin says that setting email clients up offsite is not supported,
and I am stuck using Outlook Web Access through https while at home.
So my question is...
Is it possible to have something access my Exchange web mail account
through https, and somehow "port" all of the mailboxes live to Mail.app?
I really, really hate Outlook Web Access.
Thanks.

I don't have that kind of solution, but has your company considered
using a VPN?

I have the same problem. I have successfully configured MS Entourage
to connect from home. You can set up an exchange account in Entourage
using the Outlook Web Access URL. However I still have not figured
out how to get Mail.app to work this way.
If anyone has an answer, I'm listening too!
