Is anybody else experiencing problem with Mac mail (imap)? When I start the
app I am getting a time out when downloading mail - it is happening every
time.

Thanks

Yes, for more than a week now my Mail app tries to contact the Apple
server and most of the times it doesn't succeed. Sometimes clicking on
the revolving arrow and stopping the synchronizing with the Apple
server helps.

Though not imap, I've been having periodic access problems.  Nothing to
dramatic.  Just periodic lack of access.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Have either of you tried "Connection Doctor" (in the Windows menu) when
this has happened?

I've had lots of Mail.app problems, but no IMAP connection difficulties.

Cheers,

I do not now think it is an imap problem as it is not replicated when I use
Entourage. Connection Doctor says all connections and log-ins are ok but that
does not stop Mac Mail runningg slowly (and I mean sloooooowly) on my dot mac
imap account. BT Internet pop is still fast on Mac Mail.

I have noted its presence, but have not yet used it while experiencing
difficulties.
