I'm hosting a web site and email accounts as a reseller at bluegenesis.com.
A customer of mine has an email account set up and mail sent to it get an
autoresponse back which is not set up at bluegenesis.

The tech at bluegenesis writes the following:
------
It seems that the incorrect autoresponse is coming from:
"74-138-232-49.dhcp.insightbb.com This is mail288 (an inbout mail relay)
accepting this message from IP: 74.138.232.49" It is possible that your
email client is composing this autoresponse. Please check your email client
and remove the autoresponse you may have and this should fixed the problem
you are having.
--------------

The email client the customer has is Mac Mail 1.3.11. I looked online and
can't find any reference to an autoreponder feature in that email client. Is
there an autoresponse feature in this program. If so, where is it, and if
not, does anyone have a clue where this autoresponse is located?

Thanks.

Possibly on the mail-server, my webmail server has that facility.

What does the actual auto-reply message look like?

AFAIK, Mac Mail doesn't have an autoresponder feature built into it.
There may be some plugins that add it (perhaps part of a spam filtering
add-on).  You can also create rules that send email as part of their
actions.
