Entourage

I have always used Apple's mail app but thought I'd give entourage a
try. It is certainly feature rich but I am having problems getting the
junk filtering to work with my .Mac account.

Entourage imported all my imap settings fine and has set up a junk email
folder that it cannot access as "it is not on the imap server". Having
visited Mac Mail on the web I note this is true - there is no junk email
folder within web mail and there seems to be no way of setting one up.

Am I missing something?

Many thanks
Colin

When you set an the account in Mail you get the option of keeping the
junk folder on the server or locally. Try setting that option in Mail
first, and then seeing if Entourage can see it.

I can only find an option that allows me to retain junk emails on the
server. I have ticked this but a corresponding Junk Folder is not set-up
on the web. As such the Entourage issue persists.

I don't use a .Mac account, so have no idea if it works differently from
the other iMap accounts I've used. Some of them need a specified path
for certain folders - ISTR finding the junk folder inside INBOX on one
of them. Sorry I can't give any more specific help.

Thanks for the help but still no progress. The problem seems to be that
I cannot get a corresponding Junk folder set-up on Mac Mail.
