Or maybe it's me.
I just bought a 320 GB external hard drive (Fantom Drives) for storage
and backup. When I open the app, I have a window, Home Folder. My
backup item is my home folder, cleverly named with my name.
At the bottom part of that window, the Destination and Schedule
information is a Daily backup to the 320 at 4:00 a.m. It didn't do it
this morning. It has backed up once, when I was in this same window and
changed the schedule time to something about one minute from current
time it kicked in and I watched it back up my home folder.
Whaddaya suppose I'm doing wrong?
Thanks again.

Is your Mac asleep at 4 am?

Hmmmm. Maybe.
I just checked. The Energy Saver panel is set to wake at 2:45 a.m. and
the go to sleep command is for inactivity of three hours.
I have the display going to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity.
Should i have the "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" option
checked or unchecked?

Leave that option checked, but make sure the cpu isn't allowed to go
into sleep mode.

Thanks, Stan. I'll see what's transpired in the morning.

I don't know if that was the problem, Dave, based on my first reply to
you but I'm pleased to report that it did an incremental backup this
morning at 4:00 a.m. Took about 8 minutes to review and adjust 17 GB of
stuff.
