I used to be a PC user (not a troll) but I prefer the Mac.  I've worked
with an iMac 20" intel core duo and a G4 eMac recently.  I'm trying to
find a most excellent MIDI editor / sequencer that allows the user to
view the event list and do detailed editing there of tempo, volume,
velocity, expression, etc. as well as from a notation screen - I'm
finding this very hard to find where in the PC world, MIDI editors are
plentiful.  Please any low cost or even high-end solution suggestions
are welcome and also where to look other than version tracker, etc.
Thanks.

My favorite midi sequencer / audio environment is Logic Express.  It
works very will indeed on the Mac as Apple now owns it.  Support (not
so good with my last 5 or 6 programs over 20 years) will no doubt be
commendable:

There are many other less expensive sequencers and/or workarounds that
allow you to modify the parms you indicate. But actually jerking around
with the component paramaters of expression and velocity can take hours
or weeks if the process isn't pretty organized.

There are many low-cost options, but in the end, to be happy with your
approach you'll have to do some of your own legwork.

Here's some good place to begin your study:

Good luck, and remember *specific questions* get answered pretty well
hereabouts.
