Hi!
iPhoto keeps wanting to print to my Laserjet, rather than to my color printer.
And it doesn't get the paper size right either... #!$%# - so actually I
have 2 problems but I'm not sure if they might be related.
I'm not sure which update caused this, but I am positive it didn't use
to be this way.
Wondering if there is a fix, or if I have to backtrack my system/iPhoto
updates...
I am running 10.3.9, iPhoto 6.0.5 on a 1 processor 1.8GHz G5.
I have a Laserjet2100M, connected via USB and a Canon Pixma iP4000R
connected via USB or via IP (tried both, but never simultaneously).
I created a new paper size "10x15", which is 10cm by 15cm.
I can select the correct paper size in "print setup", but when I get to
the actual print, only US sizes can be selected.
I select 4x6" (fairly close to 10x15) and then it sends the printjob to
the Laserjet - even, if that is switched off.
None of this happens with any other app I have tried and none of this
changes if I set the language to e.g. German (metric!) or if I'm admin
or just any user.
TIA for your suggestions!

Right above the "Paper Size" drop-down, there is a "Format for..."
drop-down. Do you have your printer selected there?
And when you go to print, the first drop-down on the dialog box is to
select the printer.

Although, having updated to the very last iPhoto just before the post,
I have to admit I did not repeat all my experiments.
I found out iPhoto always prints to the default printer now (which it
did not, earlier). I can probably live with that, although my Mac
usually behaves better than that...
The paper size issue still remains...
I'm going to peform a reinstall over the next couple days. I like
iPhoto. Would like it much better even, if it behaved! (And if it gave
me a few more options for editing... but that is a different topic.)

Finally, to follow up on my post:
in the meantime I moved to 10.4.8 (and I am very happy about it! Much
better overall).
However as for iPhoto: it prints correctly to a printer only if that
printer is the default printer. At least in my case.
Not great, but I can live with that.
Case closed (unless someone has a better workaround).
Thanks, Király!
