What is the absolute simplest way to subscribe to a new group in
MT-Newswatcher when you know exactly the name of the group you
want, you are 99.9% sure it is available via your ISP and no one
has yet cut off your mousing and typing hands? Please, simple
means quickest, most elegant.

Show full group list, put the focus in and start typing in the little
box. When your group appears, drag it to the list of your choice.

Thanks all.
I sort of knew this one (as it happens). Last time I subscribed
to a group I was on dialup and am still in the dialup frame of
mind, it took ages to build a full group list which may be
needed.
But on broadband, indeed, this is quick. I tried control click on
the "myGroups" window hoping for an option to subscribe to a new
group and a text box to type. This will serve as my wish number
987.
[When Tony Winston (mid-level-techie/artist) advised to get out
more into the world I thought I better subscribe to more than the
3 or 4 groups I do... if anyone needs to know the history to my
request]

I don't think Tony is someone you want to take life advice from. His
posting history (previously as Tony W.) demonstrates he cannot seek
advice without picking fights with his respondents.

I take advice from wherever I find it. I am easily led, I do
whatever was said last. I can't help this. I am just a great fan
of earthlings. When I feel a bit of cabin fever coming on, I

Well, in that case, it would be a great idea for you to send me several
thousand dollars.

Select from Windows menu select "Show Full Group List"
Start typing the name of the newsgroup in the search window
when the group appears drag it to the window where your other newsgroups
reside.

You must be 100% sure your server carries it. Open the list of
newsgroups for the server on the Windows menu. Using the Show Full
Group List submenu, list the groups for the desired server. Find the
group and drag it into an open newsgroup file for that server. If you
don't have a newsgroup file for that server open, either open or create
one first.
