All of a sudden I've lost audio capability on the web. My speakers are
working- I can play CDs, Quicktime files play fine, and iTunes works fine.
But You tube gives me video only and other web sites also give no sound-
like ESPN. Any ideas?

Did you try the usual trick of starting up Garage Band and quitting it?

Run Audio MIDI Setup Utility (Utilities folder) and make sure the
output is set to 44,100Hz, 16-bit, with volume sliders to the right.

I noticed last night when I opened a youtube link someone suggested to
me that I had no sound, and then realized I needed to move the slider,
at least for that clip.
