I have about 40 folders with many email addresses. How can I extract
all the email addresses at once into Address Book?

By using  Applescript but it won't happen "all at once" and given 40
folders could take some considerable time. There may already be a
script (or scripts) available that does this. I suggest you repost on
either -

The Usenet Applescript News Group <nntp://alt.comp.lang.applescript>

or

Apple's Mailing List
<http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/applescript-users>

or both  :)

Since I don't personally use Mail.app for email I can only tell you
that it's possible and will venture no opinion on the difficulty of
doing it.

Use ROT-13 for email address

Hi:

Thanks for the links. I have however solved it!

:-)

I did a Google search and came up with the utility 'Apple Scripts'.

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/9178

If I open all the folders in Mail App, I can Shift/Select all the
folders/emails at once; then: Top Menu > Scripts > Add Addresses and
presto! - after ten or so minutes all approx. 600 addresses are added
to Address Book to the folder of my choosing, and it only adds them if
they haven't been added before, so no double ups.

cheers

Matt
