Hi,
I wonder if anybody knows if it's possible to use the AirPort Express as
a wireless bridge?
I have read the manual from apple.com but it refers to the Airport
Extreme which i know can be used as a bridge but I am still unsure if
this also applies to the Express version?
I have a Freecom FSG-3 Storage gateway that I want to use as a router
for my network but it's not equipped with wireless so I need to add that
with a bridge.

All wireless routers and access points are bridges. As with the Extreme
base station, routing functions (NAT and DHCP) can be disabled in the
Express, leaving it to function solely as a hardware bridge between its
own wireless network and the Ethernet network it is connected to.

I wonder if the OP is refering to using two access points as a bridge
between two wired networks. Some access points are able to do this but not
all.

Applications -> Utilities -> Airport Admin Utility
Network Tab
Distribute IP addresses (TURN THIS OFF)
You are now a bridge.

You don't need a bridge. You need a wireless access point. AirPort
Express does function as an access point. You'll want to disable IP
address distribution and that's about it.
