imovie questions

I am trying to import pdf's into imovie. The resolution on these are
rediculously high, but they keep coming out really blurry. Does anyone
have any idea why this is? I also tried some other photos, and those
look blurry as well.

I'd guess because iMovie is targetting TV resolutions, which are a great
deal less than photo or monitor resolutions.
