Visiting http://www.tsa.gov crashes Safari.  That is, "The application
Safari quit unexpectedly."

This is normal?  Or just my setup?

Went to http://validator.w3.org/
Fed in the URL http://www.tsa.gov
Result: 8 errors in XHTML

Thank you.

I notice Google of Safari Share 2006 says 86% MSIE, 10% FF, 3% Safari
at ArsTechnica.com.

Fun also - but are those errors significant?

Saving the Firefox > View > Page Source creates an Htm file that
Validator.w3.org still says has 8 errors, but that local Htm does Not
crash Safari.

Cross post into:
https://www.nlzero.com/cgi-bin/browse.cgi?conference=macintosh&topic=main
confirms Microsoft Wmp at fault, I quote:

> The TSA site loads fine in two macs which don't (and haven't ever) have WMP installed,
> and crashes on two which do have it.  (One of the macs which doesn't crash has
> Flip4Mac installed, for what little that's worth.)

Can we easily grab the Html that's provoking Safari to crash, before
Tsa.gov destroys the evidence?

Only way I know to get closer to true cause would be to make/ buy/ find
an Http proxy server to trace the traffic ...

Firefox > File > Save Page As > "Web Page, complete" captures the
cause.

That procedure creates a local Html file plus folder that crash Safari
reliably.

It's not normal, but it isn't only you. It crashes for me, too. I
loaded the site with Firefox and clicked their "Accessibility" link,
which leads to a page that says, inter alia, "We are committed to
ensure that this site remains accessible to everyone..." I clicked the
mail link and sent them a /polite/ e-mail informing them of the Safari
issue.

Use Firefox. Safari crashes all the time on me on three different Macs.
Safari is terribly unreliable and it lacks some useful features that
Firefox includes such as support for plug-ins.
