I am currently running a Mac and NetNewsWire 2.01
Going through my feeds it takes time to download the pictures as I go
through.
Is there a program that allows me to download my feeds and all the pics
so I can read it offline?

Cheers,

Jason

Hmmm, I get what you're saying, but I don't believe RSS works like
email does. With RSS, you're not physically downloading items onto your
computer. You are just viewing a "link to an item," for lack of better
wording. The item exists as an RSS feed (XML file), on the web.

Therefore, unless you're connected to the internet, I don't think you
can view feeds locally.

Perhaps there is a way to "hide" pictures attached in feeds, through
NetNewWire? I've never used it, so I don't know.

No, that's not correct.  RSS feeds can and are typically downloaded by
the reader, and can be viewed while offline.  The RSS "feed" is just an
XML file, after all.  Links to full articles obviously don't work when
offline.

Really there's no reason an RSS reader couldn't work as Jason describes,
but I don't know if any of them actually do it this way.

It's done by editing the CSS file for your chosen style. See

Netnewswire does this more or less:

Preferences > Downloading > Enclosures.

Unfortunatelly, Photocasts from Flickr.com are not downloaded.
