I have been told by a major auction paying site in the USA that they
have a memo from Microsoft saying that it is withdrawing support for
IE5 on Mac 0S 9x....

And that this means my IE browser will slowly cease to work (as it is
supported by Microsoft's own server).

None of this news is on Microsoft's own sites.  But it is worrying.

DOES ANYONE HAVE MORE INFO?

i.e.  Is this a way that Microsoft wants to get us to BUY their new IE
5.1 for Mac OS10x?  (It had come free when you bought a Mac before).

In addition, Microsoft has discontinued IE as a stand-alone product
entirely, Windows and Mac platforms. Give Mozilla or Firefox a try
(www.mozilla.org)!
