Problem with cookies using old info

I am using IE 5.23 for OSX on my Mac G5.

My problem is that explorer keeps on using old info - I guess in its
cookies.

For Example, when I go to My eBay, it displays my old user name.  If I
sign out and sign in with my new info, it will be OK for the next 10
minutes or so (even checking the radio box - remember settings).
After around that period of time, IE forgets my new identity and goes
back to the old one.

I get simular problems when going to my online banking where it
remembers my old ID and can't remember the new one.

I have tried emptying my cookies, deleting the Internet Explorer prefs
folder

Does anyone have any solutions PLEASE???  It's driving me bonkers!

Try keeping Entourage and other internet applications closed when you browse
with Internet Explorer.  There is a bug that keeps cookies from saving
properly when Entourage in particular is open.  Other than switching to
another browser, I know of no workaround.
