Brand:  Mac OS X version 10.2.1
Memory: 512 mb
Processor: 1 GHz PowerPC G4

Internet Explorer 5.2

I was downloading some documents from the internet and it froze
half-way before completing and crashed.  Now the files are on my
desktop and I cannot drag it to the trash because it states "The item
is being used by another task right now (other tasks include
moving, copying or emptying the trash) try again when the other task is
completed. "  There are no other task active..also as i click onto the
file- multiple windows of Internet Explorer comes up- I have 2
documents on my desktop now that is grey toned that I cannot delete
them. - Also tried deleting from hard drive but same message comes up.
I never had this problem before.  Please help!  Much appreciated any
advice given.

You should increase your RAM, OSX usually needs lots of memory.
And bump that 10.2.1 up; the early versions of 10.2 had quite a few bugs; go
to the Apple site and you'll see that 10.2 went all the way (with lots of
bug fixes) to 10.2.8.

I'm having the same problem and as you can see, I have the newer
version of OS X.  Why would memory be a factor for this problem?
There must be some way to solve this problem.
