MS Internet Explorer Crashes

I use a Mac G4 Dual processor (1.25 MHz), 1 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.2.8)
and until last week was using MS IE 5.2.3 with no problems at all.

However, I clicked to start IE and the program just crashed (did not
load or anything).  The following error message came up in a window

"The application Explorer unexpectedly quit.
The system and other applications have not been affected"

No matter what I do, the same always happens.

I deleted the program and reinstalled it.  Same thing happened.
I deleted the preference files from my user library folder. Nothing.

I asumne that a file has got corrupted.  As I'm still a novice to OS
X, I'm not sure what to do next.  I assume I need to delete a file,
and then re-install IE.  But which file?  where is it?  Panic!

Help gratefully received.

As to the cause of the problem, I'm not sure.  I did receive dodgy
emails into Entourage (I use Office vX fro Mac OS X) that caused
Entiourage to crash everytime I cliked on the email, but now the email
has been deleted, Entourage behaves itself.  But I have had a few of
these dodgy emails recently, but once they are deleted form my
account, Entourage works fine).

Hello,

Over the past months I have tried many of the the suggestions made by
people with regard to this problem. Today, at last, after some more
tinkering I have managed to launch Internet Explorer 5.2.3 on my G3 by
moving my "Internet Plug-Ins" folder (located: HD/Library) to my
desktop. I have yet to replace the individual items one by one in
order to find the offending one.

Regards,

Vernon
