Favorites suddenly disappeared

I'm using Explorer version 5.2.3 for Mac OS X. When I ran it this morning I
discovered that all my Favorites were missing, including my custom tool bar
favorites. Instead, there were just three toolbar favorites (which I didn't
put there): Microsoft Web Sites, MSN Web Sites, and Apple. I believe it all
happened after I'd used a web auction designing shareware program to preview
and export a new auction ad in Explorer. Can anyone help me get my
favorites back, or are they lost in a cybervacuum? Thanks.

Am having the same problem from time to time. I routinely now make a backup
of the favorites.html file, but that is certainly not the answer. Paul,
did you ever find what the problem is?
