Hey all..I have an iMac and I've been using IE 5 for a while
now..lately the browser has started to freeze whenever I launch
it...so annoying! I am able to create a connection (maintain one, I
have DSL) and my home page launches, but then the page freezes and I
have to force quit IE. Anyone else had this problem? Any tips? Sam

1. Something in the page's makeup/construction is making a call that IE
doesn't know how to render or act upon. Open the page in an editor and
see if there isn't a command not suitable for your IE version and fix it
or use another browser.

2. IE's cache may be corrupt. Delete it.

3. One or more cookies may be corrupt. Delete the offending one.

4. In Mac OS 9 or earlier, increase the amount of memory alloted to IE.
I've found that around 40 MB is usually sufficient.

Those issues are what pop into my mind. Perhaps others have more?

Regards,

Steve
