I'm using Internet Explorer 5.2.3 for Mac OS X 10.2.8.  I'm trying to
access the website https://nwrdc.fsu.edu:1204/fsyspr00?parm=1&nxt=fsyfsr01
I've been able to access it in the past but now I'm not able to and I
don't know why.  I can access it if I use AOL's web browser, but
that's a pain in the you know what.  I need to know why this is
happening, since I can't log into any secure server on FSU's website,
and how I can fix it.  I don't use Safari or Netscape and I don't want
to.  Using multiple browsers is too much of a hassle.  Can anyone tell
me how to fix this problem please?  Any help will be greatly
appreciated, thanks!

I've also got this problem. I've just signed up with a new ISP,
uploaded the site and done all the necessary tweaking. However, I
noticed I couldn't access the secure server and kept on getting
"Security Failure. Data Decryption Error.
My ISP sent me this message which I think is completely unacceptable
because it's going to be a major problem and loose valuable customers:
"We have done some research and tracked this down to a bug with
InternetExplorer on the Mac, meaning it does not work with strong
SSLv3 encryption.
We disabled this form of encryption on our server, and tested it with
a Mac
running IE, and it worked without the error. However, we cannot reduce
the
security of the shared server certificate by using a lower class of
encryption just to work around a big in a browser.
We would recommend finding a different browser version to use, or if
possible configure your browser to try and negotiate an SSLv2
connection
instead. "
Is there a solution other than telling Mac customers not to use the
latest browser????!!!

well it's better for mac users to use something else than Msie for mac
becorse it's not going to be upgraded (microsoft discontinued msie last
year) and all the other browsers get upgraded
