IE 5.17 crashes on OS 9.2/G3-350s

Anyone can help me I have G3 i-macs with 9.2 Os and 256 to
384 Of memory and using IE 5.17 browser The IE seems to be
crashing more and more I have done the Pram , desktop stuff
cleared cache etc any suggestions Thanks

Have you increased the amount of memory alloted to IE? I remember having
to up the memory allotment to at least 40MB in order to get any decent
performance from IE (always crashing with Error Type 2).

I know 40MB seems like an insane amount to allocate to only one program,
but then again, Web browsers aren't simply little programs anymore
either; considering that they kick off Java VMs, run applets, play
embedded movies, etc.
