I'm running Mac OS 9.1 & am having problems w/functions & viewing certain
sites using Explorer 5.1.7. For instance, I cannot use the Live Support
feature on Comcast's site because it does not show a Submit button after the
required form. In each instance where I've had enough of a problem on a site
that I've had to contact their support, the answer is always to upgrade my
browser. In fact, I've been receiving auto notices from discovercard.com
telling me to update as I will soon not be able to use certain features. The
problem is it seems that 5.1.7 is the latest ver. available for 9.1.

Probably the best browser you can use in 9.1 is an older version of Mozilla
- 1.21, I believe.  www.mozilla.org

I recently signed up for comcast cable internet and got the basic
install which meant I had to register myself. The CD they supplied with
IE on it did not work at all. Trying to register manually with IE got me
to the final page and no further. This type of refusal to send the final
page of some sign-up proceedure has happened to me before with IE. I had
to use iCab to register successfully. I now use iCab as my main browser
and IE as the backup. iCab is much faster but is short of some java
implementation (they claim this is upcoming) so certain sites won't
work. Between the two they can work the majority of websites.
