mac freezes when on ebay and pop up menus appear

I am using a mac G4, 9.04 OS and Explorer 5.1.7

When I am surfing the net, especially when on Ebay, my mac freezes up and I
need to reboot to continue. Usually when a pop up menu is trying to be
displayed. Any ideas?

Begin by increasing the memory allocation to Internet Explorer. Quit
Internet Explorer, then locate the Internet Explorer application icon.
Select it, then go to File -> Get Info -> Memory. Set the Preferred size to
25000K, then close the window.
