We have been receiving an illegal operation error. I've
tried all the recommended fixes on the MS website. We also
cannot access My Computer, Control Panel, and several other
programs. When we try to access Comcast.net through
NEtscape Navigator, we get a message that we need to update
our browser. We can't seem to do that, however.
Ever experienced this problem?

Sounds like you've got serious problems on your OS, try running Windows
Setup again.
Note that this newsgroup is only for Mac OS queries. There are plenty of
Windows groups out there that you can use.
