Unwanted Window Resizing problem

When surfing the web my Internet Explorer window changes sizes all by
itself. When I reset the window to the desired size IE doesn't seem to
remember that setting.

It doesn't matter whether the dock is at the bottom or at the sides,
the intermittent resizing happens just the same. Needless to say this
very annoying behavor.

I upgraded to version 5.2.3 and the problem is still there. I'm also
using OS X 10.2.6.

Help!!

Quit IE and Entourage, if you use it for email. Trash the file
com.apple.internetconfig.plist. You'll have to reset your IE preferences
when you do this (Explorer menu-Preferences command). It's in Users/(Your
Username)/Library/Preferences. Start up IE. Adjust the window size. Quit IE.
Restart IE. Is the size preserved?

Thanks Hal for the tip.

Unfortunately it didn't cure the Internet Explorer problem. I followed
your instructions and trashed the preferences file, resized the
window, quit and restart. IE failed to remember my window size after
restarting.
