In Ie7 vista when I open up google.com and some other web cites the font size
in the search engine box is extremely small, so small I can barely read what
I am typing. The rest of the web page is fine, it's only what I type in the
box. if I go to view/encoding and select Western European it fixes it,
however as soon as I refresh the page it goes back to the way before, being a
UTF-8 encoding. Are there any workarounds or fixes for this. It almost
makes google and other cites unusable for me. Yahoo works though.

Suspicions aroused, maybe Bill doesn't want you using Gooooo?
Erm, IE7? in Vista? for the Mac? (well, maybe... virtually).
Could try looking for font size in list views.
Last time I looked, IE7 had only a French and German group,
guess Microsoft assume their help pages suffice...

I am using internet explorer on a vista loaded lenovo laptop. Whether it is
ie7 or whatever I just know it came preloaded with Vista. When i first
started using it I did not have this problem for a couple weeks but recently
it appeared. Not sure if i accidentally changed something but anyway, not
sure what to do now. There has got to be an easy fix. I tried resetting all
internet explorer settings to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem?
Also, the font type in yahoo search box is different and the password box
shows small hollow squares instead of the filled dots. It could be these two
font type changes are related to the font size issues I have in google.

You're in the group for the Mac version of IE. You might want to repost
in one of the Windows ones.

I just turned on my computer to find I had this problem, I searched my
systems fonts, and realised all of the Arial fonts were missing. After
replacing the Arial fonts from another of my computers, the problem went
away. I hope this helps.
