Is there anybody out there who can help me with a problem with Internet
Explorer 7 on Vista.
When I got my new computer IE 7 was fine, then it started to download new
updates. It needed to turn off to fully install. On restarting windows it
crashed, it eventually restarted but since then IE 7 has played up. When you
double click IE 7 icon you can wait about 10 seconds for it to even start to
open and then another 20 to finish. Then everything you click on takes
forever. After reading up on the problems with IE 7 I disabled Add-ons but
made no difference, so then I double clicked protected mode: I disabled each
security setting one by one but with no effect . So then I tried disabling
protected mode on which I restarted IE 7, I could not believe the difference
it made an Open window and connected in a second. So now I know there’s a
problem with protected mode but don’t know how to resolve the problem, I’ve
tried a reset to no avail.
Can anybody help please?
P.S. Yes I have got virus protection and done a virus sweep, comes up
clean.

You're in the wrong newsgroup.
This is the group for the Mac version of IE. You should repost in one of
the regular IE groups.
