I signed up with CBS March Madness to watch live basketball. A pop-up told me I needed IE 6+ (I have IE 5.2 for Mac) and Windows Media Player 9+ (I'm not sure what I have) What do I need to do to satisfy the requirments?

You can try the following:
Install the Flip4Mac WMV codecs (free and now distributed by MS
themselves in lieu of WMP).

Then, you can use a utility like TinkerTool to reveal the Debug menu in
Safari or use another browser like OmniWeb to *pretend* to be IE 6+.

If you are lucky, it could just work.
If they use some weird ActiveX controls, etc, that require IE, then you
are out of luck since both IE and WMP have long been abandonned by MS on
Mac.
