When I click on any .doc files on my website a window pops up asking if I
want to 'open' or 'save' the file- Is there a way to disable this window so
the document will just open when I click on it?

I fear not. It wouldn't be very safe to just open any document from the
web on your Mac anyway...

Since IE for Mac doesn't support .doc files directly, it needs to
download and save it before you can open it in WOrd or TextEdit,
