No connection with the internet when I boot my computer

Since saterday I have some problems connecting to the internet.

When I boot my computer I have no connection. After a lot of calls to my
provider I have a temporary solutions and that is to typ ipconfig /release
and /renew in a command prompt.

The problem is now that every time I start the computer I have to execute
the commands to get a connection.

My provider tells me there's no problem with the modem and my powerline.

I tested my computer with my neighbour (who has the same provider) and it
works. I tested my line with a portable and no problems. I reconnected my own
computer and the problem still remains.

Has anybody have an idea of what this could be, a setting in the Vista?

Thx

Should have bought a Mac. At least the spell checker would work.

That's the sort of answer I would expect from a Microshit forum (and yes the
spell checker is on, idiots)

It's not working.

Hum... I thought that Mr. Strat's answer was rather funny, but it might
be because you posted into the newsgroup for the Mac version of IE
though.

It doesn't look like the question is for IE and you're not posting in a
group for the proper platform either.

I fear that your chances to get a good solution for your problems here
are pretty slim :->

It's an iMAC that is dualboot. It runs Windows Vista.

Well fine, but it remains either a Windows question (if the problem is
with Windows) or a bootcamp/Parallels/VMWare question.....

It's not really a question about IE for Mac.

If you are running Vista through BootCamp and have installed all the
Bootcamp drivers in Vista, it *should* work and it's then a VIsta
question (and you should post in the corresponding groups).

If you are running a virtualization solution, it's quite possible (if
not likely) that the problem is with the virtualization software. I know
I've had similar problems with PArallels that all went away when I
updated to the latest beta and updated the Parallels tools in Vista in
the process.
You shoudl then post on the discussion group of the editor of your
virtualization softwre.
