When i try to close windows on control panel etc....I get this error...The
exception unknown software exception (OXDeedfade) occurred in the application
at location 0x7c812a5b.. I do not know how to fix this..Can anyone help me?

What version of MacOS X are you using??

Now I am fairly computer illeriate. Windows XP service pack2 Internet
Explorer 7 is what I do know. Is that enough?

Wellllllllll the problem is that you are posting in the group for the
Mac version fo IE (hence the .mac in the name fo the group).
I suspect you'd be better of reposting in one of the regular IE groups
