Lost Favorites

I have Vista Business and IE7.
All of a sudden I find a favorites folder in my documents and I can no
longer display the folder on the IE7 page. When I click on the Favorites icon
(star), I get a message saying that it cannot find the bookmark file in
C:\kulldude\Documents\Favorites\Favorites. I have tried to export the file
and then reimport it, but to no avail. I tried to delete the existing
information and create a new favorite folder, but it does not let me do it as
"it already exists". Where should the favorites folder be located? In case I
moved it by accident, I could move it back to where it belongs, but there is
no indication in help as to where it should be. Does anyone have an answer to
this problem?

Then you should post in the regular IE group.The location and structure
for the favorites on the Mac version is quite different and I'm not sure
you'll find a lot of people to help you here in the Mac group,
