Just today, 3/5/07, when I try to find flights on Expedia, from the Expedia
home page, I get the message IE cannot open the Internet site. Operation
aborted. This is the only web site where I have seen this problem thus far.

I'm using IE 7 and Windows XP Pro SP2.

This seems to have started after I downloaded the Beta version of the
software needed to view maps on Live Search today. I uninstalled the software
but still get the operation aborted message.

I also tried to restore to an earlier date but irrespective of the date I
choose I get the message that I cannot restore.

This group is the group for IE for Mac actually. It looks like a lot of
people make the same mistake these days so I'm starting to wonder
whether the MS site has a bad link somewhere.

Could you please let me know what link lead you to this newsgroup??
Thanks,

Corentin

It was no particular link. I was searching the various postings "using
operation" and wound up here. I never noticed that the group was for Mac.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

I see. THanks a lot for letting me know. A lot of people have made the
same mistake lately and I suspect a glitch on the search engine on the
MS site.

It doesn't really bother me per se, but people posting here for IE7 for
Windows problems are not very likely to find someone who'd have an
answer for them.....
