IE 6 will succesfully access Internet via dialup connection but not via LAN -
just gives DNS error / page unavailable.  Compaq PC using Windows 2000 and
IE6.  DHCP enabled and shared services are all accessible from other PCs on
LAN.  The hard wired connection to the modem / router works fine with other
PCs so problem appears to be with this PC.  LAN connection configured exaclty
the same as other PCs using same modem router succesfully including another
Compaq using IE6 and Windows 2000.

Help!  I have run out of options that I can think of to check

This group is the group for IE for Mac actually. It looks like a lot of
people make the same mistake these days so I'm starting to wonder
whether the MS site has a bad link somewhere.

Could you please let me know what link lead you to this newsgroup??
Thanks,

Corentin
