I have a new Dell Optiplex GX 620 with Windows XP Pro, Norton Antivirus.
Same machine I have at work, with one major exception. The weather
prediction page I access at work
(www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/610day/) retrieves an error
messaage on the home pc telling me Page Cannot Be Displayed.
Making matters even more puzzling, the main website where the page I need is
located (www.noaa.gov) can be accessed on the home pc, but when I try going
deeper in the site to Climate, then down to Climate Prediction Center under
Organizations, my computer will not open the page and returns the error
message.
I've called Dell until I'm blue in the face, tried EVERY fix they suggested,
and have done everything Microsoft tech pages has offered, all to no avail.
Anyone have a clue what gives???
One thing I do know, in accessing the page at work, I noticed the weather
map page I'm trying to access on the home pc, references a GIF file when the
map opens on the office pc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. In addition to hating computers,
Dell and Microsoft are ranking #2 and #3 on the list.
Thanks,
Foulmouth

If you repost in a WINDOW newsgroup you'll get a much better response!
This is a Mac one.
