To delete temporary files (internet cache), go to Explorer (or Edit) >
Preferences.  Under "Web Browser", click "Advanced".  Under "Cache", click
"Empty Now".

To delete cookies, go to Explorer (or Edit) > Preferences.  Under "Receiving
Files", click "Cookies".  Then, select the cookies you wish to delete (to
select all, go to Edit > Select All).  Click the "Delete" button to delete
the cookies.

You could also suggest that your friend using Safari for MAC too.

Like the rest of the Mac, it's secure and fully tested, and works fast -
complete opposite to anything microsoft's ever done.
