On certain wesbites that I know are safe, I get a message that says "click to
run active X control on this webpage", and as soon as I do, I get an error
message that says that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs
to close", and it closes IE.
I'm running WXP and am current on all the updates.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000
Thanks for anyone's help!
Blessings,

Maybe you should try a PC group instead of a Mac group...or just buy a
Mac and be done with all the nonsense.

oops...thank you Randall...  did not notice this was mac... but what are
Mac's doing on a Microsoft, I.E. bulletin board?  anyway, I assumed it was an
IE problem not necessarily a pc vs mac problem.
Thanks anyway, I will search for the pc section and re-post.
