I am a new Mac user and need help.  I can watch video clips that
require Windows Media Player.  I downloaded the player but now it is
asking for Internet Explorer.  Since so much on the web requires WMP,
what can I do?  When I try to watch the videos on MSN, I get a message
that I need WMP even though I have it loaded.   What do I do?

In OS X, 10.3.9+, you can download Windows Media Plugin, Flip4Mac "WM
Components.dmg" from the MS site. This is a QuickTime 6.5+ Plugin.

I'm guessing you are using Windows Media player 7 .
First things first , locate the DRM plug-ins within the Windows Media
Player . Make copies of them and drag them into Internet Explorers
plug-ins folder . Restart Internet Explorer and enjoy . I had the same
problem . The DRM plug-ins aliases within Internet Explorers don't seem
to work , so you have to add exact copies of the DRM plug-ins from the
Windows Media Player 7 folder into the plug-ins folder from Internet
Explorer's Folder . ENJOY !
