I'm suddenly getting this security warning all the time. (IE 5 on OS9.)
I've read other posts about it on this site, and they all say it's a
date problem. Sounds reasonable, as I have been throwing out Preference
files to fix a bug, but my Date and Time CP is set correctly, in the
same format as always (Thur 22/12/05, today). Is there some other place
in the system where I need to set the date?
Thanks,

Date and time in your Mac prefs? Might be a dying battery.
These go after a few years.

Where would I go to change the date in the Mac prefs? Or is this
something the machine does at boot-up? (So far I haven't had any other
symptoms of a weak battery, but it is about that time and of course
they tend to go all at once.)

Go to Apple > Control Panels > Date & Time to verify/correct your date &
time settings.
