I think it's kinda odd/weird/stupid of Microsoft to dump all support for IE
for Apple...

I guess they're throwing in the towel so to speak, Even telling users to use
Safari !

Anyone have any idea what's going on with this ?? Why did Microsoft Never
keep up with their other IE products ??  IE7 is almost out, and IE for Mac
has been @ 5.2 for a long time... Very big disappointment.

January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac will no longer be
available for download from Mactopia. It is recommended that Macintosh users
migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari.

Anyone care to offer some insight ??

Thanks !

( BTW - I use all 3, FireFox, IE and Safari )

Indeed...

I am also very curious how Entourage support will continue.

Isn't the HTML render engine within Entourage = I.E.?

If someone has an issue with I.E. that cascades into Entourage not
being able to render HTML, where is the support line drawn?

The HTML rendering engine in Entourage has gone beyond IE (although it has
its share of issues). You do not need to have IE installed to view HTML in
Entourage.

Microsoft did this years ago. This is just the latest step.

There are still things I like better about IE than the alternatives, but
this ship sailed long ago.

I've been checking the issue out, and i realized something pretty
important. Why would microsoft stop developing a product for the
competition base? I realized the answer when i saw that there are some
pages that are just impossible to visualize in any mac browser.

At that moment i saw the plan for the expansion of windows.

It seems that ie7 is almost out and we have no support. That means that
if you have a problem and there's no support, you must use windows.
That is another point against mac.

So if you want to buy a computer, and you notice that your web pages
just wont show in mac, you just wont buy it.
Thats a cheap bussiness strategy but it is very well planned. Scince ie
doesnt follow the standards but it is the standard, we mac user's are
screwed. specially after ie7 is gone. sh.t were dead! :P
