Hey all, I'm new to the world of Mac...I'm trying to take an online
examination which states that I need to be be using Internet Explorer
with the popup blockers enabled, as the test is in the form of a popup.
I can't find any place that allows me control over enabling or
disabling popups...As it is, I know I get popup ads on different
websites, but when I try to take the test, it causes IE5 to quit. The
support person at the exam site says this is a popup blocker issue. Is
she right, or what might be the problem?

They are wrong. IE on the Mac is pre-popup-blockers. I'm sure that they mean
you need a Windows box with IE to take the test. Can you try to take it with
Safari? If even just to see if it works? Make sure to run Software Update
beforehand so you have the latest version of Safari.

If anything, IE5 accepted all popups without discrimination. :-)

Safari has an option built-in to block or unblock pop-ups, but it could
be a scripting issue. You might try Firefox if Safari doesn't work.
