Post the URLs (changing the server hostname if you like) and we can see.
Maybe something another pair of eyes might spot that you missed.

Sorry for the late reply here Josh
I thought that I'd receive an email to confirm, but never did. Just
thought i'd pop back to have a look and saw your reply.
As it happens, seeing as my files are on the Intranet I wouldn't be
able to make them available for you to see.
But, as an example, a typical link would have the following code
<p><a
href="file:///U|/Reference/Committees/ITUC/Minutes/Minutes%202005/ITUC%20Minutes%2014072005.doc"
target="_blank">July 2005</a> </p>
The u drive is the drive on which the data server is situated.
For some reason a mac won't open the link. I have since found out that
for security reasons, Firefox does not allow links to local files.
Would this be the same for ie on the mac?
