Has anyone noticed any problems typing in fields using IE for Mac? I
don't know why I can't read what I'm typing. It looks like it's using
an unrecognized character set. I have to use Safari for now and some of
the sites I need to work on require IE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you resolve the prob?

Checked Preferences, Web Browser, Language/Fonts?

OS X prefs problem?
Drag Macintosh HD/Users/<Your
User>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconfig.plist to the Desktop.
Re-launch Internet Explorer and see if it works.
If it doesn't work, move the Internet Preferences file back.
If it works properly, you can trash the Internet Preferences file.
Have a look at the Preferences again, set them as you need.

Have you tried Firefox?

Another solution would be Virtual PC, where you could run the Windows
version of IE.
