I am using Mac OS 9 and IE 5.1.7. I recently started getting an error
message when trying to login to a bank website. The error message is -
Browser Alert, update to current version of IE or Netscape with 128 bit
encription. Doesn't IE 5.1.7 have 128 bit encription? There are also
error messages stating - Unable to establish secure connection. I hope
someone can help me. Thank You, Ron.

I think part of it is "times are-a-changing." The javascript being
written into some websites causes problems. The same problems exist
these days on sys 10 for both IE and Safari because many programmers use
proprietary MS javascript that only PCs handle well. Firefox is probably
the best now for that.
Otherwise, since MS no longer is updating IE for Mac, the going is going
to get tougher...
