I need to restore my IE favorites from a HD backup set - but don't know the filename and default location where IE stores favorites. Please advise - > thanks OK, I was having the same issues... I put my favorites into the folder following the path you described below... When I open IE it doesn't recognize them and continues to use the old favs. I did manage to import them, and it just sees my favorites as an html page.
